The automotive industry has undergone a transformative revolution with the integration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These cutting-edge technologies have significantly enhanced the driving experience by improving overall vehicle safety and paving the way for a more reliable and efficient future in transportation. This research paper explores the essential components of ADAS and their profound impact on the automotive sector. As part of this study, we will be developing an object detection system for vehicles using the latest YOLOv9 (You Only Look Once version 9) algorithm. Additionally, we will compare its performance with the previous YOLOv8 iteration, allowing us to gauge the advancements made in this field. The integration of ADAS has laid the groundwork for autonomous vehicles, marking a significant milestone in the progress of road safety and the overall driving experience. Through this comprehensive analysis, we aim to shed light on the remarkable capabilities of ADAS systems and their potential to revolutionize the way we perceive and interact with vehicles on the road.
