Today’s world sees an explosion of Internet of Things devices, including so many that are marketed to the general public and used by consumers within their homes. Their uptake is growing and becoming more and more a part of daily life even though such devices can and do often provide data that in turn reveals much of what people may want to keep private inside their homes and offices. In turn, this poses major questions in terms of cybersecurity: how secure are these devices, what are these devices seeing (and saying), and how can they be compromised?
