We focus on cultural aspects in the provision of mental health services and supervision, particularly those concerning bilingual (English/Spanish) issues. We frame language as an eminently cultural element, which is of utmost importance in the context of “the talking cure.” The chapter emphasizes the importance of formalizing supervision, discusses specific guidelines for its provision, and advocates for its institutionalization in all professional development processes.
