Strategic Analytics for Synergizing Digital and Real Economies

The article aims to explore the status quo and influencing factors of the Synergy development of digital economy and real economy in Jiaozuo City, Henan, China. This study collects data from Jiaozuo City from 2011 to 2022, and then uses the entropy value method, the coupling coordination degree model, and the gray correlation degree to measure the level of development of the Synergy of the digital economy and the real economy in Jiaozuo City, aiming to explore the development of the digital-real economics synergy in Jiaozuo City in the past 12 years and the results show that Jiaozuo City’s digital economy and real economy have developed from the initial severe disorder in 2011 to the high-quality coordination in 2022 and the synergistic promotion effect is presented, but the development level of the real economy has shown a trend of gradually lagging behind the development level of the digital economy. Moreover, the influence factors of the digital and real economics synergy in Jiaozuo City are selected by Economic Development (ED), Openness (OP), Economic Efficiency (EE), R&D development (R&D) and Industrial Structure (IS), which are explored by using grey correlation analysis to verify the key influence factors of digital-real economics synergy in Jiaozuo City based on the analysis of the empirical study. R&D is the most important influencing factor, followed by ED, OP, IS and EE; This study strongly recommends that policymakers in Jiaozuo City consider incentivizing enterprises to increase R&D investment, set up an R&D team led by high-level talents, and build an R&D platform to promote the long-term development of the digital-real economics synergy.
