Mapping the under-canopy surface of vast forestry areas using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles poses a multitude of obstacles. This paper presents the technical architecture and the user interfaces of an application that improves mapping operations under the canopy of trees in forests using drones. The approach aims to improve the planning of mapping operations, minimizing the time needed to map vast forest areas and improving operator ergonomics and safety. The application facilitates drone management, enabling strategic survey planning and operational efficiency. This innovative method promises to optimize the harvests of valuable under-canopy tree georeferenced data by reducing labor and time spent in rugged terrain.
