Due to adverse environmental conditions and difficult organizational conditions, miners tend to develop psychiatric disorders. Recent studies have revealed that 40% of miners have mental health problems as well being a category at high risk of suicide, especially when they have physical health problems. Unfortunately, interventions for the mental well-being of workers are rare and never preventative. It is necessary to plan and implement interventions when symptoms appear and guarantee adequate psychological support to address any mental health problems. After the Covid-19 pandemic, interest in the mental health of miners has grown considerably and the first specific diagnostic tools for the mental health of miners have been developed and validated. This paper describes the work done during a European project with the aim of building a psychological intervention tool for mental health of miners. This tool should be capable of diagnosing and predicting by means of monitoring vulnerability and resilience factors and paying attention to cultural influences. The tools available in literature have been analysed in detail to identify the aspects that could be adopted in a new specific model to be adopted in this sector.

摘要
