The coming community is both at the edge of destruction through bourgeoisfication and at the same time at the cusp of a breakthrough beyond petty bourgeois identity. Here then is the crux of the matter—residing in the possibility of a singularity sans individuality is the essence of intelligence of the not-public and not-private kind. It is the intelligence of the whatever-being that unites the individual and the collective, that is not symbolic or representational and that passes from genus to species and back from species to genus, something that Marx had intuited as Gattungswesen, a German word often translated as species-being. This singularity, or species-being passing-into-expression, is free of the burden of individuality- or personality-based identity, thus by-passing the society of kitsch. With the discovery of whatever-being or anonymous identity, the pedagogical ground is laid for the threptikon or the nutritive life that eliminates existential deficit. It is also the bridge between being and non-being, which eliminates the fear factor. Taken together, this is the highest form of sentient intelligence in which the latter becomes both the means and the end to species being.
