New Approach to Learning Cyber-Security in Secondary School
摘要
Ensuring an adequate level of cyber-security is becoming one of the key aspects these days, requiring a solid awareness and understanding of the risks as digital technologies evolve. Cyber-security education in high schools is essential to prepare students to use the Internet safely. This study proposes an example-based teaching method that allows students to see the dangers of the Internet in a hands-on way, as well as learn best practices for safe Internet use. The method includes workshops designed to demonstrate the risks of not taking sufficient care of online safety. In practice, workshops conducted in this way have proven more effective than traditional teaching methods. The actual demonstration of how easy it is to become a victim of a cyber-attack improved the memorization of information and showed how easy it is to fall victim to a cyber-attack.
