Mesenteric vascular disease has a broad range of clinical presentations, including acute mesenteric ischemia of arterial or venous etiology and chronic mesenteric ischemia due to atherosclerotic occlusive disease. Because it is associated with high morbidity and mortality risks, quick diagnosis and treatment are of great importance. This chapter will try to underline the main points regarding epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment.
