Other Complimentary Techniques
摘要
In specific situations, complementary techniques may be required for adequate diagnostic evaluation and risk stratification of patients with vascular disease. In patients with an ankle–brachial index >1.40, toe pressure measurements using photoplethysmography or LASER Doppler give additional information on lower extremity artery disease. Vasculitis can be detected with high precision using positron emission tomography. Transcranial color-coded duplex sonography is a powerful method to analyze the intracranial circulation.
