After careful medical history taking, the clinical examination is one of the fundamental steps in vascular diagnosis and should always precede any additional imaging tests. Vascular pathologies can affect several areas of the body. As a result, the vascular clinical examination must be exhaustive, with a precise and careful assessment not only of the vascular tree, but also of potentially compromised areas. Particular attention should be paid to measuring blood pressure, palpating pulses and looking for murmurs, as well as examining the skin and appendages. In certain situations, dynamic manoeuvres are performed to assess the functionality of the vascular network in extreme situations. This chapter presents the most common signs and symptoms in patients with vascular pathology.
