In this paper, we considered and proved the connection between the component of the increase in corporate environmental responsibility regarding the contribution to the fight against climate change and the improvement of the quality of sustainable development reporting and the financial and economic component. The goal of this paper was to find the specific features of corporate environmental responsibility and reporting on sustainable development as a precondition of ensuring the contribution to the fight against climate change. For this, we used the methods of statistical analysis, the ranking method, and the method of statistical approach. The novelty of this research consists in further development of the possibilities of ensuring the balanced functioning of companies of the industrial sector, which are oriented towards participation in international initiatives in the fight against climate change. The presented results showed the necessity of adapting the experience of world leading companies in the sphere of ecologisation in the activities of small and medium companies, especially if they account for a large share of the country's economic structure. It was shown that receiving new opportunities from the initiatives of international organisations in the sphere of sustainable development is possible for various categories of the subjects of entrepreneurship.
