Prevention of the Formation of ARPD and Salt Deposits in Oil Production and Field Treatment Technologies

The authors analyze the current state of research on preventing the deposition of salts and asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD). As many oil fields are in the late stages of development and are characterized by high paraffin content, the issue of sediment formation has become increasingly urgent. The approach outlined in this research involves analyzing existing data from various oil fields and proposing the application of available methods to prevent ARPD in production columns and oil field preparation facilities. There are various methods to prevent and combat this problem, including physical, chemical, thermal, and mechanical approaches. The effectiveness of these methods was determined through pilot testing at various oil fields, focusing on operations such as oil extraction and the transportation of well products in hydrocarbon-bearing provinces. The results obtained from oil field operations make it possible to assess the effectiveness of these methods at specific sites and provide insights into modeling the causes of sediment-related issues at other facilities based on prior experience. This applies to oil and gas condensate fields. Using the Zyuzeyevskoye oil field as an example, the research presents calculations of oil crystallization temperatures due to paraffin content and models the depth at which ARPD forms.
