Design of a Man–machine-Duplex Production Line Towards Human-Centricity in Industry 5.0
摘要
In the convergence of the sustainable development goals and the increasing individualized demands in products, sustainability is envisioned in the Industry 5.0 proposition based on a fast physical and logical (de) commissioning of the system. The vision implies high flexibility of both the hardware and software of production lines to satisfy individualized demands, as well as to save time and cost. This chapter proposes a design of a man–machine-duplex production line (MMDPL) for Human-centric Smart Manufacturing towards Industry 5.0. The MMDPL (“人机双工产线” in Chinese) architect pattern was coined in the research collaboration (starting from the year 2015) with two smartphone producers ranked No.1 and No. 4, respectively, in China. The purpose of proposing the MMDPL architect pattern is to achieve the fast and cost-efficient reconfiguration of the production line under frequent changeovers of different types of product orders.
