It is common knowledge that building a highway requires a significant financial outlay, and when designing flexible pavements, there are important factors to take into account while designing the pavement's mix. The development of high volume pavements in India has significantly improved recently compared to prior years. However, this has brought about a need for concentration in the provision of essential and rare aggregates of natural resources. A section of the current pavements has been repaired, involving the removal of the top layer of asphalt to make room for new layers beneath. Natural deterioration has been triggered by the removal of the old solid surfacing layer and asphalt layer in the open spaces. Low volume streets have been left in a deplorable shape due to a lack of suitable assets. Determining whether a mixture of recovered asphalt concrete, new aggregates, and a cationic emulsion makes sense as a surfacing medium for low volume pavement construction was the main aim of the experiment. The impact of using recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) to replace bituminous concrete, either partially or completely, is being evaluated in India. This study examined the differences in mechanical properties of recycled asphalt pavement (waste BC) and virgin HMA mix, ranging from 10 to 40%.
