The study looked at the issues with traffic congestion and what led to them at particular road crossings in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Additionally, the traits of crossings that make them more prone to congestion issues and the spatial distribution of traffic congestion at road intersections were determined. Additionally, estimates of traffic volume, delays, and delay causes were made. Data on intersection characteristics, traffic volume and composition, traffic delay and causes, and land use activities were gathered by direct field surveys. Additionally, information was gathered from previous study reports, journals, books, atlases, and the Internet. Traffic flows and delays at the analyzed intersections exhibit spatiotemporal fluctuations, according to the analysis of the data gathered. Additionally, it was discovered that parking issues and traffic wardens were the main reasons for delays at city intersections. To lessen traffic congestion and delays at the intersection in the city, the study suggests that the crossroads be signalized and that parking be tightly restricted.
