AYA with JIA have a different disease spectrum than children with JIA, different clinical characteristics than adults with arthritis, and their disease requires suitable measuring instruments to assess the therapeutic responses and health of young people affected by arthritis. A holistic management approach is essential in the treatment of AYA with JIA in order to achieve the best possible outcome.
