Approach to Solving the Problem of Registration of Images of Objects with a Large Brightness Interval
摘要
Mismatch of the dynamic range of the input optical signal with the dynamic range of the photorecorder leads to the loss of part of information. Known methods of image registration with a high dynamic range have a number of significant disadvantages that reduce the efficiency of photography in real conditions. A multifunction method of registration of images with a large brightness interval based on signal processing in the optical path of a photographic system, a photographic sensor and other devices for its practical implementation is proposed. For comparative evaluation of different systems of image registration with a large brightness interval, using different principles of construction, the efficiency criterion in the form of resolution averaged over the frame field, measured over the measure of small contrast, is chosen. The expression for calculation of exposure metric parameters of the systems using the multifunction method is obtained. Theoretical studies of the influence of the multifunction method of image registration on the gradation and frequency characteristics of the resulting image are carried out. Mathematical expressions for the masking coefficient, modulation transfer function, scattering function and edge function of the system realising the multifunction method of image registration are obtained. A comparative evaluation of the efficiency of systems using the known multiplicative, additive with the proposed multifunction method of image registration is carried out.
