Circular Economy Model as a Management Tool for Achieving Ecological Goals of Sustainable Development
摘要
The circular economy is a practical basis for the implementation of the ecological economy and offers effective, built on the principles of engineering management, business models to ensure more economical use of resources contributing to the reach of sustainable development goals. The engineering approach presents the circular economy like an element of the technogenic system and which is based on the reuse of materials that corresponds of modern engineering management principles. The circular economy considers not only the technical, but also the biological cycle of resource circulation and potential benefits from the return of resources into circulation at different levels. It involves the transformation from a linear model of the economy to a closed cycle economy. The implementation of the circular model of the economy leads to changes in the modern logistics systems. Closed logistics chains are created which include forward logistics processes with reverse logistics processes. Thanks to such changes in logistics systems, it becomes possible to significantly reduce the eco-destructive impact of economic activity on the environment.
