Shoulder Dystocia
摘要
Shoulder dystocia is defined as a vaginal cephalic delivery that requires additional obstetric manoeuvres to deliver the foetus after the head has been delivered and gentle traction has failed. Usually, the anterior shoulder impacts behind the maternal symphysis. It is very important to identify risk factors before and during childbirth, although every health care provider involved in childbirth must be prepared for this eventuality and be able to apply the necessary measures at any time.
