Taping on the collective human intelligence, crowdsourcing has transformed the objectivity and diversity of solutions to diverse complex problems in various data analytic and scientific domains. However, confidentiality, integrity, and availability along with traceability and privacy are the major challenges for a crowdsourcing platform when the data to be crowdsourced is sensitive and complex in nature. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of Jabberwok, a decentralized data access and management platform. Jabberwok employs blockchain technology to crowdsource operational data from the Operations Monitoring and Notification Infrastructure (OMNI) at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab). This platform is built entirely by our team without relying on existing blockchain frameworks. Moreover, this paper details the workflow utilizing the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance consensus algorithm for achieving digital trust along with the data access services enabled by the platform for Berkeley lab users.

摘要
