This chapter argues why and shows that the emancipatory effect of the CW-Condition is genuinely a matter of ecological endowments and has nothing to do with the genetic make-up of the populations that evolved under these endowments. Our analysis establishes this point by demonstrating that the genetic markers of the populations with the most pronounced emancipatory signature lose their predictive significance, once we factor in the CW-Condition. Simply put, ecology trumps biology in the making of civilizations.
