Pestatolia is now one of the most common foliar pathogens, as it has a large host range from cereals to field crops, flowers, and fruit crops. It covers a large foliar area and causes heavy losses every year; however, the proper diagnosis is that the pathogen and diseases are delayed as still after its damage year after year still not reported in many crops. As its host range is large, its offseason survival is also uncontrolled. Pestatlotia, Pestalotiopsis, and Neopestalotia are the pathogenic genera that cause the same kind of symptoms, and the taxonomic genus can only be confirmed after molecular identification. From very big, it produces only small grey specks that gradually increase in size with dark-fringed borders. When coalescing, it covers a large foliar portion of the plant. The most common economically important crops that are infected by this pathogen are mango, guava, strawberry, orcids, tomato, and citrus. Among the management strategies, fungicides are the most effective one, but until and unless its report has not confirmed proper recommendation of fungicides is restricted due to Label clam registration. Other cultural practices to avoid congenial conditions are the most effective strategies to avoid diseases over time. This is for the first time all relative information about the minor pathogen is given in this chapter, which is a reach source for pathogens such as Pestalotia for future research and academic purposes.
