For more than one century, sympathetic ganglion block has been an essential component in the multimodal treatment of neuropathic pain syndromes. Albeit it diverges from the primary focus of the present textbook, we should not overlook the percutaneous stellate ganglion block (PSGB) used for antalgic purpose considering that evidences and cases of its application over the years have provided data about safety, technical skills and equipment necessary for its application. The adaptation of PSGB for treating ventricular arrhythmias prompted the search for new and different evidence on effectiveness and methods of the procedure in this new context of electrical storm.
