The Landscapes of Tourism and Food—A Theoretical Classification of Touristscapes and Foodscapes
摘要
The influences of the production, distribution and consumption of food, as well as tourism, on spaces have been discussed and problematized in various disciplines for some time. With recourse to the synthetic approach of ‘-scapes’, it is possible to draw on the theoretical (but also methodological) fund of landscape research. The terminology of foodscapes and touristscapes thus makes it possible not only to grasp the material manifestations of the production, distribution and consumption of food and tourism, but also to deal with social construction processes as well as individual allocations to material and socially constructed spaces in relation to food and tourism.
