This study investigates the impact of COVID-19 on the two cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Solana. The spread of COVID-19 piqued the interest of academics, particularly in light of the proclamation of a pandemic by the World Health Organization in March of 2020 and the manifestation of unfavorable indicators in the financial market. By examining key indicators such as price volatility, trading volumes, and market capitalization, this research seeks to understand how these cryptocurrencies have responded to the challenges posed by the pandemic. Last but not least, the findings suggest that the emotional response induced by news pertaining to the coronavirus has a substantial influence on the volatility of the values of Bitcoin and Solana in comparison to other indices.
