This paper investigates the application of the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) to a photovoltaic (PV) system, using algorithms based on the Incremental Conductance (IC) technique and a novel IC algorithm enhanced by fuzzy logic (FL). Both algorithms were implemented in a boost converter connected to a PV system. The proposed fuzzy logic controller (FLC) outperformed the traditional IC controller under both dynamic and steady weather conditions.
