In this chapter a combination of type-3 fuzzyType-3 fuzzy logic system (T3FLS) and the fractal dimensionFractal dimension (FD) is employed for tuberculosisTuberculosis diagnosis. FD is utilized to characterize the geometrical properties of a region in lung X-ray images. A T3FLS is employed to represent the knowledge of experts in tuberculosis diagnosis. In this case, type-3 fuzzy logicFuzzy logic helps in representing the uncertainty in making a diagnosis. Simulation results with a dataset of lung X-rays shows the accuracy of the proposal.
