Analysis of Thermal Insulation Properties of the “Tongue-and-Groove” Unit When Joining SIPs

In the modern world, in the construction of capital construction facilities, energy efficiency is also an important indicator, in addition to the reliability of the structure. These indicators are especially relevant, since in winter the air temperature can drop to −30 °C. In the construction of buildings and structures, this topic is especially relevant, since cold rooms in winter can become a huge problem for human health. Since the 50 s of the last century, SIP panels have been actively used in construction. This is a modern energy-efficient material that has undergone many changes and improvements. The main advantage of the material, in comparison with competitors, is low heat loss. During installation, special attention is paid to the joining of SIPs. One of these connections is a tongue-and-groove knot. In HEAT 2, this node was created. As a result of the calculation, it was determined that the connection is optimal. The high energy efficiency of the node contributes to improved energy efficiency, which will allow more cost-effective maintenance of the facility, since energy consumption costs will be lower.
