This chapter details a free-standing chitosan membrane prepared by the vibration-assisted solvent casting method. In the first subchapter, fabrication of chitosan membrane is described. The second subchapter presents improved method of solvent casting using high-frequency vibrations. The third subchapter details the effect of the high-frequency on the formation of nanopillars on chitosan membrane surface.
