Analysis of Blockchain Barriers and Enablers for Improving the Transparency of Agriculture Supply Chain
摘要
Blockchain technology (BT) in agriculture offers transformative solutions for challenges like supply chain traceability, food safety, data security, financial inclusion, land rights, and market access for small farmers. By providing transparent, decentralized, and secure systems, it is revolutionizing the agricultural industry. This paper investigates the analysis of blockchain barriers and enablers for improving transparency in the agriculture supply chain (ASC). Subsequently, it employs the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to rank these enablers in order of significance for effective BT implementation in ASC. Additionally, the paper explores a sensitivity analysis to ascertain the robustness of the TOPSIS method results. This research guides decision-makers, agricultural stakeholders, and technologists in making strategic choices for improving transparency and sustainability in the African agricultural sector.
