We present a topological method for the study of the discriminant loci of an algebraic variety defined in a product of projective spaces. Our approach is distinguished by the efficient use of the notion of groupoid in the description of the monodromy. As an example, we deal here with the discriminant loci of a hypersurface of bi-degree (m, n).

摘要

We present a topological method for the study of the discriminant loci of an algebraic variety defined in a product of projective spaces. Our approach is distinguished by the efficient use of the notion of groupoid in the description of the monodromy. As an example, we deal here with the discriminant loci of a hypersurface of bi-degree (m, n).
