Wrist Denervation
摘要
Degenerative wrist, irrespective of the cause, may lead to pain on movement. This in turn may cause joint stiffness. Wrist denervation is a procedure that aims to achieve a pain-free wrist, by destroying most of the articular nerves of the wrist. This chapter describes the technique of performing wrist denervation with tips and tricks. Both partial and total wrist denervation are viable options in the short and medium terms for the treatment of painful wrist. While its outcomes deteriorate with time, it enables patients to restore or at least maintain some of the wrist movement in the interim.
