This study delves into the evolving concepts of Industry 4.0 and the anticipated progressions of Industry 5.0, focusing on their theoretical underpinnings and potential real-world applications. The main aim of this research is to thoroughly assess the fundamental principles, technological frameworks, and theories of Industry 4.0, while also examining the shifting perspectives surrounding Industry 5.0. The research seeks to build a strong theoretical framework that highlights the evolution, distinct features, and predicted impact of these industrial paradigms on production processes and organizational models. By critically analyzing existing literature, the study uncovers essential insights into the transformative power of Industry 4.0 technologies, particularly in improving production efficiency, optimizing supply chains, and enabling predictive maintenance. Furthermore, the paper explores the anticipated shift in focus that Industry 5.0 brings, moving towards human-centered, inclusive industrial ecosystems, which emphasize collaboration between humans and advanced technologies.
