Chapter 6 summarises the key findings and offers recommendations for future research and action, addressing the complexities and challenges of integrating sustainability into Algerian higher education (HE). It highlights three primary findings: the practices of digitalisation, the implementation of EMI, and the lack of an integrated approach across all aspects of HE. The chapter recommends conducting more inclusive studies to investigate the outcomes of SDG4 on the local economy. It also suggests involving a larger participant number in future studies to enhance the credibility of the findings. For decision-makers, the chapter offers several action-oriented recommendations. Addressing the ongoing issue of insufficient technological infrastructure is critical for the government. Additionally, the EMI approach should be introduced gradually to avoid marginalising speakers of other languages. Finally, policies related to SD need to be taken seriously and should aim for long-term planning.
