Digital Images Encryption Using PWLCM and Sine Map

Currently, there is no doubt that society now greatly enjoys the convenience of the wide application of digital images. As the digital images are used widely, studying image protection has urgent need and important significance. This paper presents a secure encryption algorithm to protect the privacy of digital images. The algorithm uses combination of two popular chaotic maps to obtain the pseudo random sequence, which offer better randomness than the induvial one. The generated sequence along with SHA-256 consider as key is then chosen to encrypt and decrypt the image. We have conducted the various security and key analysis to measure the effectiveness of proposed encryption algorithm. Further, extensive experimental results show that the algorithm is robust against attacks and outperforms the various existing encryption techniques in terms of statistical, differential, and key sensitivity analysis. This indicates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for the secure media applications.
