Socially Deviant Behaviour

This chapter covers some socially undesirable behaviour which are not mental disorder but socially eccentric, unconventional, nonconformist, aberrant or undesirable behaviour which is distinct from, although often confounded with mental disorders. Deviance is a social reaction to behaviour which may go through behavioural contagion. It may remain unnoticed, but when visible it includes bad manners, chronic hostility, maladaptedness, violation of moral standards, wickedness, depravity, divorce, suicide, alcohol abuse, delinquency or crime.
