This study aims to investigate the pyrolysis process and its effectiveness and to seek a suitable renewable energy that can help to improve the marine industry. The main engine sump tank, generator sump tank, compressor sump tank, and finally the bilges tank are used in the pyrolysis process to identify which oil wastes have the best figure to develop a new raw oil and aid with the cost. Many types of equipment and auxiliary parts at the ship use oil as a lubricant and fuel, therefore, the oil after its purpose becomes oil waste and oil sludges. This garbage is frequently gathered and pooled repeatedly in a tank before being discharged to the following or closest port. However, even though all laws and regulations are in place, most ships continue to dump garbage and dangerous chemicals into the ocean to save money and simplify their operations. One of the solutions is the slow-type pyrolysis, the data from these oil wastes are collected and analyzed. The data collected from the same weight and residence time of the oil wastes are the end-up result which is to generate carbon-rich products such as char and bio-oil. This study intends to provide valuable insight into the management for a big or small company in the marine industry. The result found a strong relationship between pyrolysis and the new waste.
