Determinants of Employee Retention: A Study on Apparel Firms in Gazipur District, Bangladesh
摘要
Employers put out extra effort to create a setting that encourages current workers to remain with the company by enacting policies and processes that meet the needs of their diverse workforce. That’s what we mean when we talk about staff retention. Therefore, a powerful recruitment tool is also an excellent retention strategy. Maintaining key employees is crucial to any company’s long-term success and survival. The purpose of this research was to determine why there has been a recent uptick in employee turnover at a clothing manufacturer, how important amenities like healthcare, housing, rewards, and incentives are relative to the various demographic factors considered in the survey, and what can be done to improve the current working conditions. One of the most important ongoing tasks in HR is employee retention. The benefits of staff retention and the factors that may contribute to it are discussed in this paper. The original data was collected from a sample of 234 employees of garment factories in the Gazipur District of Bangladesh. Many hypotheses on the nature of these connections have been created, tested, and abandoned. The study found a statistically significant correlation between occupational satisfaction and worker retention. This research will help Bangladesh’s garment industry pinpoint the myriad of factors that have led to increased profits and revise existing laws for future growth.
