The latter can be easily calculated by area moments of inertia which are well known in civil and mechanical engineering. Besides the proper mechanical propertiesMechanical properties, degradationDegradation behaviour, biocompatibility, etc., the geometry can be of crucial importance and should be considered prior to design of alloys and their processing.
