An Integrated Single-Valued Neutrosophic Based Approach of Kano Model and MULTIMOORA in QFD for Uncertain Evaluations in Supplier Selection

This study presents the first successful application of Kano model under the single-valued neutrosophic (SVN) environment to find out customer requirements (CRs) for the copper manufacturing company. By integrating the SVN-Kano model into the Quality Function Development (QFD) methodology, a strong infrastructure was obtained to calculate the weights of technical requirements (TRs). Single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) is one of the newest theories introduced in last decade, that provides an effective mathematical approach on modelling the uncertainty and indecision arises from the subjective evaluations of decision makers. Taking into account the advantages of the SVNSs theory, it is aimed to assist managers who work in copper industry in solving their supplier selection problems. As a result of SVN-Kano model, eight main criteria (quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, communication systems, customer orientation, social-responsibility awareness, and solution orientation) which are crucial CRs for the manufacturer were found out among 38 criteria. The final SVN-weights of TRs which were related to those eight CRs were then used to construct an aggregated SVN-decision matrix model. Finally, ranking and prioritizing procedure of suppliers in terms of their performance measures was carried out by utilizing MULTIMOORA method.
