This chapter argues that the Nakba of 1948, when 750,000 Palestinians were driven out of their homes and homeland and turned into refugees, has not ended. Rather, it is a process which has continued until this very day. Palestinians are denied their rights by a ruthless system of settler colonialism with the accompanying relentless violence. At the same time, both the USA and Europe give Israel unreserved support and disregard the plight of the Palestinians. But Palestinians demand their right to freedom and ask for the support of the world. Outside pressure is needed, today after nearly two years of genocide in Gaza, more than ever, to put a stop to Israel’s settler colonialism, which includes “the elimination of the native” and to allow everyone “between the river and the sea” to live in freedom and equality.
