AI-Based Predictive Models in Healthcare

The healthcare sector is undergoing a transformative shift propelled by the swift ascent of artificial intelligence ecosystems. In this dynamic landscape, smart healthcare applications have emerged as a pivotal force with vivid applications. Our chapter highlights the significance of predictive modeling that serves as a cornerstone in leveraging AI for anticipating health outcomes and optimizing interventions. We have further delved into the deployment of machine intelligence in healthcare, focusing on medical data preparation and analysis with predicting clinical events using machine learning. Subsequently, we have explored the intersection of AI and mental health that caters toward addressing mental illnesses. This is followed by the case studies on concept drift for sophisticated medical data analysis using window-based techniques. Another set of studies is included on highlighting the eminence of explainability in healthcare using random forest and SHAP model.
