The Effect of the Assessment Method on Learning Outcome During the Covid-19 Pandemic at Hung Vuong University
摘要
With a history of more than 60 years, Hung Vuong University (HVU) is a prestigious higher education address in the Northwest region of Vietnam. During the COVID-19 epidemic, HVU has flexibly applied online and offline assessments at certain times. This paper focuses on (1) describing the transition process and (2) assessing the change in learning outcomes through 3 phases of assessment, including offline assessment before the epidemic → online assessment during the epidemic → assessment offline after the epidemic. The experimental results of 135 students belonging to 4 classes show that the shape of the distribution of grades and ranks remains as before. In other words, learning outcomes do not depend on the assessment methods offline or online.
