Application of Recycled Materials into Sustainable Manufacturing in the Context of Industry 5.0
摘要
The concept of Industrial Revolution 4.0 is well known and has already been implemented in various areas of industry. The core of this revolution is based on digital transformation, smart factories, cloud computing, and the implementation of exponential technologies like additive manufacturing, digital twins, and artificial intelligence. Industry 4.0 aims to improve processes in the manufacturing industry and enhance collaboration between machines and humans. The newer concept of Industrial Revolution 5.0 is more focused on human-centric approaches and sustainable manufacturing and can be defined as a human-centric evolution aimed at achieving balanced economic growth. This manuscript highlights the importance of sustainable manufacturing, which is an inherent part of Industry 5.0. This concept includes several technologies such as smart and digital manufacturing and other zero-technologies. The proposed study focuses on additive manufacturing as a zero-waste technology and its application of recycled material, specifically polyvinyl butyral, in manufacturing processes.
