The first analysis that must be developed is the validation of the electrochemical model presented, as it has been the one used to perform the studies related with the control theory part. In case that the results obtained show a good correspondence between the real behavior of the battery and the one modeled, it is possible to perform the other studies with great confidence on the model. However, if the analysis of the model performance shows bad results, the use of this model with control purposes could mean obtaining misleading results. As one of the most important goals of this thesis is the monitoring of the SOC through the use of estimators, a bad model can lead to obtaining an estimator where the weight of the corrective action is higher to compute the estimated states that the model itself.
