Industrial deployment of liquid LIBSLiquid LIBS in casthousesCasthouse can be done using a surfaceSurface measurementMeasurements probe or sub-surfaceSurface lance probe; both designs should be resistant to a high-temperature atmosphere. Calibration is critical for the accuracy and reproducibility of the measurementMeasurements. This work summarizes Constellium-Tecnar and Constellium-DTE co-developments to implement LIBSLIBS technology for wrought aluminum alloysWrought aluminum alloys. Promising results show the possibility of following master alloy dissolution in the melt; industrialization challenges are discussed for both technologies.
