Assessing Teachers’ Awareness of Digital and Technological Addiction Risks Among Secondary School Students in Jordan

This study aimed to assess teachers’ awareness of the risks associated with digital and technological addiction among secondary school students in Jordan. A descriptive analytical approach was utilized, with a questionnaire distributed to 150 male and female teachers in government secondary schools under the Directorate of Education for the Second Zarqa region during the 2023/2024 academic year. The survey included 35 items, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. The results indicated that secondary school teachers in Jordan possess a moderate level of awareness regarding the risks of digital and technological addiction among their students. Additionally, the findings showed that secondary school students in Jordan are at risk of such addictions. The study recommends promoting positive attitudes among students towards the use of digital technology in education and encourages teachers to participate in training courses and workshops to enhance their skills in using digital tools.
