TiO2-Based Heterostructure Coatings for Photocatalytic Water Purification
摘要
Promising thin-film heterostructure photocatalysts based on copper and titanium oxides (TiO2), and graphite-like carbon nitride (g-C3N4) could be obtained on silicon, metal, and glass substrates. The photocatalytic activity of the TiO2/(CuO + Cu2O) and TiO2/g-C3N4 systems against a test organic pollutant upon activation by ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 365 nm was established. The possibility of functionalizing the surface of a polymer material with TiO2 xerogel to obtain photocatalytic and antibacterial properties has been demonstrated. The prospects for using thin film coatings and heterostructures based on metal oxides in flow systems for water purification and disinfection are discussed.
