Climate has been fluctuated from the pre-industrial era. Carbon emission has increased the greenhouse gases, which have sparked climate crisis by driving global temperature rises. CO2 is the principal and most prevalent atmospheric greenhouse gas. Depending on the mitigating measures taken, values might vary from 1.5 °C higher than the present reference period (1986–2005) to more than 4 °C. The greenhouse effect is having an influence on crops. The rising temperatures are causing more frequent Mediterranean agricultural droughts due to reduced water availability for irrigation systems and increased evaporation. Global warming projections anticipate that future circumstances will be significantly drier. Irrigation is a vital resource for growers who cultivate under this climate to enhance soil water resources, may resulting in increased yields without quality losses. For the crops grown under climate change areas to manage the crop growth and quality, controlled deficit irrigation may be applied. In addition to drought, as stress variables function independently and/or combine, its response to climate change-related factors might vary.
